In 2009 a personal health become important to us and after switching everything in our life to natural alternatives (even our bed), we couldn’t find a truly natural deodorant that worked. So we turned our kitchen into a natural deodorant lab.
What we created for personal use became so popular it eventually showed up at places like the Golden Globes and MTV music awards.
but… In 2016 doctors discovered a baseball sized lump in my upper chest and through a surgical error, I almost didn’t make it home.
The fellas in the white coats attributed this lump to endocrine and hormone disrupting toxins found in plastic which leech into our everyday products like deodorants, food and even our water.
Being a few heart beats away from never seeing your family again makes you reconsider a lot of things… This was the moment when we decided to shut down what we’d worked so hard on for 7 years and reinvested everything we had into creating…
The Best Deodorant FOR The World
Everything had to evolve… and In order to disrupt the deodorant industry we had to fix everythingthat was wrong with it… which was literally everything…
FIRST was packaging… over 95% of deodorant comes in plastic packaging which is a substance the earth can’t digest and ends up in our oceans and animals. As for us, plastic contains harmful toxins like BPA, BPS, PVC and Phthalates which disrupt our endocrine system, alter our hormones lead to ADHD, cause tumors and directly effect the breasts.
So we FIXED this by creating a zero waste, zero impact package this is made from recycled paper, uses no harmful chemicals or plastic, is biodegradable and printed with plant based inks.
SECOND was formulation… over 95% of deodorant on the market are either toxic, ineffective or both.
Fixed… we hired a natural product formulator with over 30 years of experience… the end results was a proprietary process that’s been tested on 200,000 pits. A formulation that’s so effective it allows people to transition from traditional off-the-shelf deodorant without the stink or irritation.
THIRD was Team… they had to care as much as we did. We were not looking for them to to just do a job… we were looking for people who are as passionate about changing the world as we are…
FOURTH was pricing… this was a key component for us. Our competitors range from $10 to $30 per deodorant. Our average competitors price comes in at just over $18 and comes in toxic plastic packaging… we’re now able to provide a superior product on every level at a superior price, at only $15.
Place our product next to any other deodorant and it’s a no brainer for customers. The only questions we want consumers asking is, ‘why didn’t I find this sooner?’
FIFTH… and the most important… make a lasting impact on the world… We are a new kind of deodorant… one where every purchase has a purpose…
The moment we discovered over 4,000 children die EVERYDAY because they don’t have access to clean water, we finally knew why we had created this great company… to solve this problem.
Through our partnership with water.org every deodorant sold provides 1 year of clean water to a child in a developing nation. It’s our mission to solve this problem by 2023 and with our average customer purchasing 5 deodorants, that’s only 800 sales per day.
