Our founders, Joshua & Margaux created impact in 2009 because they were tired of all the toxic and ineffective deodorant on the market and simply wanted a safe alternative that worked and didn't harm people, plant or animals. After asking around, they learned a lot of other people were upset about the situation too, so they decided to do something about it.
Looking at the industry as a whole they identified four BIG problems.

Fast-forward to 2020, they made the decision to restructure the company so that it now gives back 100% of its profits to animal liberation organizations that are working day and night to give a voice to those without.
What was created for personal use became so popular it would show up at places like theGolden Globes andMTV Music Awards.
Fast-forward to 2020, doctors discovered a lump in Joshua’s upper chest, with resulting surgical complications nearly ending his life. Doctors attributed this lump to hormone disrupting toxins found in plastic that leach into everyday products like deodorants.

After 7 years of building this little empire, they decided to pull their product from store shelves and close online sales and change everything the world knows about deodorant and create the most important deodorant in the world.
They had a mission to be more than The Best Deodorant In The World, they needed to be The Best Deodorant FOR The World by inspiring future generations to live sustainably without harming our bodies, the earth or animals.
Everything the world knew about deodorant was about to evolve.
FIRST was packaging… over 95% of deodorant comes in plastic packaging. Plastic contains harmful toxins like BPA, BPS, PVC and phthalates which disrupt our endocrine system, alter our hormones, lead to ADHD, cause tumors, and affect the breasts. They fixed this by creating zero waste, zero plastic packaging made from recycled paper that biodegrades and is printed with plant based inks.
SECOND was formulation… over 95% of deodorant on the market is either toxic, ineffective, or both. They hired a natural product formulator with over 30 years of experience; the end result was a proprietary process that’s been tested on 200,000 pits. A formulation that’s so effective it allows people to transition from traditional off-the-shelf deodorant without the stink or irritation.
THIRD was pricing…a key component. Most natural deodorants range from $10 to $30 per stick/jar. The Best Deodorant is priced at just over $15 and comes in biodegradable plastic-free packaging. A superior product on every level at a superior price.
FOURTH was ethical…when the company was founded in 2009 it became PETA certified as a cruelty-free and vegan company. However, Josh & Margaux would discover that this certification doesn’t ensure the supply chain is cruelty-free. So, they also changed many of their suppliers to ensure that every step of the process is truly cruelty-free and vegan. To this day Joshua, Margaux and their 3 children are active voices for the voiceless showing up at many events across Canada.
FINALLY, making a lasting impact on the world… every purchase has a purpose. Through a partnership with Water.org, every deodorant sold provides 1 year of clean water to a person in a developing nation. The goal is to eliminate the global water crisis entirely by 2023.
